2008 Season information ( Important information at bottom of page)

Northeast Ohio Pop Warner is changing its format to a traveling league. We are currently filling 50 teams slots for our 2008 season. We are accepting committment letters from a maximum of 2 teams per town. Each town must be within 1 hours travel time from Downtown Cleveland, OH.

Our goals is to create (2) conferences of play with 8 towns in each conference, per division. We are initially approving Associations who can field all divisions eligible for regional competition, JP, PW, JM and M, beyond that we are filling open spaces with teams who may not initially be able to fill all (6) divisions, TM, MM, JP, PW, JM and M.

We currently have programs in the following towns: Cleveland, Bedford Hts, Cleveland Hts, Shaker Hts, East Cleveland, Elyria, Warrensville and Euclid.

We would really like to hear from teams in any of the following towns: Parma, Lakewood, Akron, Solon, Chardon, Mayfield, Mentor, Independence, Brookpark, Painesville and Strongsville.

Please contact us to request more information and a committment letter for 2008.

We are looking for league level volunteers and each associations owner or designee gets a seat on the Northeast Ohio Pop Warner Board of Directors.

There will not be any exceptions to the rule. Also a new roster will be used which there will be a training. Please make sure you have at least 2-3 individuals to be trained. I will notify each association of the training.

We want to thank everyone who helped to make this 2007 season a success. We doubled our team count from last season and hopefully we can do it again next season.

All head football coaches must attend the USA Football Coaches Clinic either online or at a participating NFL camp. Cleveland Bowns will be holding a local clinic. Camp information can be found on the Pop Warner website, USA Football Coaching School.

Coaches Certification August 17, 2008 @ 2:00 pm at New Spirit Revival Center on Mayfield in Cleveland Heights

Player certification will be August 24, 2008 at the Euclid Sports Plant. No parents will be able to enter the facility. Times will be communicated to each team regarding their report time.

All forms are availiable on the Pop Warner Website and physicals must be dated after January 2008.

Active is available to begin registering your returning kids.
